There will be plenty of optional excursions available for you to book locally if you feel like getting out to explore further afield. Perhaps venture to nearby Venice to see the sights and try out a gondola ride or you could go see Venice by night, what better way to see this romantic city than when the sun sets over St Mark's Square? If you would rather stay closer to home, make sure you explore your chosen resort. Limone is a quaint and colourful town nestling on the west shore, famously known for its olive groves, citrus greenhouses and exotic array of plants and flowers. During the day you can wander along the narrow cobbled shopping streets that add a touch of medieval atmosphere to this quaint town, and stop to gaze at the delightful harbour bustling with the ferryboats. By the evening, Limone boasts an excellent choice of bars and restaurants offering mouth watering specialities, whilst in high season, it plays host to lively open-air musical evenings on the lakefront. Riva is set amongst beautiful mountain scenery amd boasts a 12th century fortress and clock tower in the centre of its old town. There are narrow streets lined with a variety of shops and restaurants. Boats and pedalos can be hired to take a trip out on the lake, or you could stroll the lakeside walk to neighbouring Torbole.
