Depending on whether you have chosen a three or four night break, you have the next two or three days at leisure, to enjoy as much as you like of this beautiful city. To help make your decisions easier, we have a range of optional excursions you might like, which will showcase what has made Venice one of Europe's most famous and cosmopolitan cities today. Or, with the carnival in full swing, you may just decide to go at your own pace, and see where you end up! Spend time just soaking up the carnival atmosphere, marvel at costumed entertainers and the brightly coloured decorations adorning the streets. Find a spot at one of the cafes that line the piazzas and watch the action take place before you! There are many gala dinners and balls taking place throughout the carnival season, so if you are interested in attending one for the ultimate carnival experience, it is advisable to speak to one of our reservations advisors at the time of booking. Events can get booked up early so our advisors will explain your options and what you need to do. Away from the carnival activities, there is still so much else to see and do here. From the obvious options like a gondola ride or the Doge's Palace, to the looking out over St Mark's Square from the 15th century Torre dell'Orologio, visiting the Peggy Guggenheim collection or visiting Murano with its hand-blown glass. The hardest decision will be what to do first! (B)
