Vale do Garrao

Albuferia

Armaco de Pera

Not too long ago Armacao de Pera was just a fishing village with quaint houses and narrow streets, but has now developed into a very nice holiday resort, but still has managed to retain some of its traditional character. The sandy beach at Armacao de Pera is one of the largest on the Algarve and is set among huge cliff and rock formations. A stroll along the promenade will bring you to what remains of the original fishing village. In the older part of town, there are a number of bars and a good selection of restaurants, many offering freshly caught fish. There are good local shops but a trip to Albufeira or Portimao will provide added variety.

Carvoeiro

Carvoeiro has its origins as a small fishing village and is tucked away between high cliffs with a lovely sandy beach. Either side of the resort there are several more glorious beaches backed by high cliffs as well as excellent golf courses and a tennis centre.

Olhos D’Agua

Olhos D'Agua is a small resort which has retained all of its traditional appeal. The traditional fish restaurants in the harbour area are well worth a visit and there is more than an ample choice of shops, bars and restaurants available in the resort. In Olhos D'Agua you will find two beautiful beaches, one which is a steep incline from the resort centre. Nearby Balaia has several fine restaurants and the beautiful Santa Eulalia beach. At its centre is the Balaia golf course.

Montegordo

Montegordo is located in the east of the Algarve.
